#Trending Now : Fall Florals

As a self confessed floral print lover, I am of the view that florals should not be just for the Spring/Summer. With the crisp autumn knocking on the door, I am looking forward to the floral prints in earthy tones, deep hues and thicker textures. Here are my 10 favorite pieces ready to bloom in fall!

Wrap Me In Oplulence: FRAAS Fall-Winter 2013

I think it is safe to say that for Fall/Winter, a must-have accessory for most women (and men) is a great scarf or stole. I love wearing light weight scarf during Spring/summer too, but for winter, this has to be my can't-live-without piece! I am always on the hunt for a chic, beautiful scarf to update my look and transition an outfit between seasons. So when I got a chance to sample a scarf from FRAAS, I was beyond excited! FRAAS is a renowned European brand making quality accessories for centuries! (Literally! FRAAS was established in 1880 in Germany) With a history like that, how can you go wrong! I love this ultra light, yet warm scarf with gold shimmer and a trendy  print of zebra stripes in very fall appropriate golden apricot color. For the rapidly cooling New York weather, this makes a great accessory for a layering look.
FRAAS scarves and accessories are available worldwide at 25 locations and all across USA (For retailers list - see here) and online at Amazon and on fraas.com. You can also order from the company by calling their New York sales office at 212-575-0191.
Jacket - Forever 21(old) / Similar Here
Boots - Naughty Monkey (via Nordstrom)/ Similar Here
Cropped Sweater - Walmart (I KNOW!!) Similar Here from GAP
I have to say Europeans know they their scarves! Case in point - FRAAS Fall/Winter'13 collection. I can't just pick one! From their signature Cashmink fabric to washed wool, cotton, silk, cashmere and everyday viscose, FRAAS have something for everyone! The digital photo prints, baroque prints and the superior craftsmanship makes this collection a real treat for Holidays! I think these scarves will make a great Christmas gift for anyone!

Fall Splurge: Brocade Pants

Phillip Lim For Target Blouse, Brocade Pants
Last year during New York Fashion Week (for Fall '13) I was totally awestruck with the rich brocade pants and trousers at Vera Wang Fall 2013 show! The luxe brocade fabric with bright jewel tones made my heart skip a beat as it moved elegantly on the runway, glittering as light fell on the models from different angles! I had made a mental note to get my hands on a jewel tone brocade pants for fall! Earlier this year when I was visiting India, the first thing I did was scour the traditional fabric stores for the brocade I wanted for my pants! In India, almost every wedding trousseau has brocade Saris, so this fabric had always had enchanted me even as a little girl! I saw this peacock blue fabric with woven pattern in indgo and deep purple stripes at the selvage! YES, I jumped with excitement and took it to my trusted tailor (ahem, I am fancy like that!)! The result - this totally rad pair of funky pants! #winning

If you are planning to get a pair of brocade trousers, it is better to splurge and get the real woven fabric, instead of getting the printed one. Most of the brocade pants I love are little bit on expensive side, but if you know a good tailor, get the fabric of your choice and get it tailored! If you are in NY area, there are some good fabric stores right on 7th and 8th ave (around 37/38 st) that carry great selection of brocade fabrics. You can also order fabric online. I am also linking up some of my favorite brocade pants in the bottom of the post. Love the deep jewel tones!
