I hear from friends back home that we had unexpected snow last week. I hope by the time my vacation in India comes to an end and I reach home again, Spring would have come. Early Spring casual attire for me is a comfortable skinny jeans, cool flats and a polished trench coat or a woolen trench. easy, breezy, simple! Who doesn't like that?

Trending: Brocade Pants And Capris

I fell in love with brocade when I first saw the fabric as a little girl in India. The shining, rich fabric threaded with gold and silver in detailed patterns oozes opulence. Brocade is a an essential part of an Indian woman's wardrobe - specially her special occasion Saris. (In fact, a decade ago, I wore a brocade Sari for my wedding) Now, this lustrous fabric is taking center stage in the big designer's collections, not in the evening gowns but in trousers and cropped pants!
