Fall Dressing: Bring Your Maxi From Summer Into Fall

Maxi dress is one of my summer favorite outfits. Easy to style, easy to wear and comfortable for mom on the go too! Even though it is considered a summer wardrobe staple, a maxi dress can be used in Fall as well, styled with a jacket, long cardigan, even a  fur vest. The key is to pick up a pattern and color that can go in Fall as well. So when I saw this Navy chevron striped maxi with orange and chartreuse accents, on The Shopping Bag,  I knew it could be a maxi for summer and a drop waist midi dress for fall! Ladies, you need to get your hands on this chic piece ASAP - only for $34 you can get two outfits!! I love the earthy colors and an ever green chevron stripe pattern that will never look dated or old!

Here I am, on a sunny day that doesn't let me believe it is September!  

If you follow my blog, you must have seen this post where I first styled a maxi dress as a drop waist dress. I used the same technique of  belting the maxi at waist with a soft sash and pull the fabric over the belt to create the drop waist illusion! With a coordinating fall-appropriate jacket, I turned my maxi into whole another outfit!

Naturally Stylish : My #AllNaturalSecrets

I believe nature is our best guide for inspiration - colors, textures, fragrances, designs, health, functionality and of course youthfulness - all the marvelous things are derived from nature, right in front of our eyes, all around us. I know it is not always easy being 'green' and live naturally , specially when it comes to beauty, cosmetics and skin care products. Fortunately there are more awareness in consumers and growing demand for products that are free of harsh chemicals and derived from natural ingredients. So when a brand harnesses the power of nature to bring efficient products to it's consumers, it is a beautiful thing!

One such great brand is Seventh Generation. Their products are as efficacious as any top brand, but they do it by using plant-based ingredients to create healthy products. When it comes to skin care products, all-natural and chemical-free is the only way to go. I have a huge problem with products containing parabens and pore-clogging chemicals, i break out like crazy! Speaking of nature, I find myself I am happiest when I am among nature. Most of the time our family end up taking vacation where we can literally be in the lap of Mother Nature. Recently we were in west coast of Canada and came back rejuvenated and energized - ready for the daily grind of big City!
