I got lucky last week! These printed denim from Lucky Brand was hiding in the clearance rack at TJMaxx and I found it! Marked down to $29 from original $119, this baby was just waiting to call my closet its home! I love its print and the comfortable fit and the knowledge that I scored a great deal makes this even prettier:-) Styled with a silk blouse (as I did here) or with a basic Tee, this jeans could be my new basic denim!
The constant rain last week made my hair cry! The perpetual frizz and the unruly waves were no match to the Andrea residue we had in east coast, and I weathered the (hair) storm the only way I know, tie 'em up!

Style Trend : Drawstring Pants
One part comfort of a sweatpants, one part chic of the silk trousers and generous splash of spring bright color - that's my kinda bottom! The drawstring pants are as sleek as they are versatile. Dress them with pumps and blazer or dress them down with a summer tee - you will find 100 ways to style them this season. I love the cobalt blue (seems to be my go-to color these days, as evident by my recent posts) chiffon pants by Forever 21 (under $20!!) and I decided to dress them up a little.
I wanted a minimalist style so I chose this elegant black and white chiffon blouse from Choies.com with cute enamel button details on the back. The fit and flow of this blouse is just so perfect and it is a great piece to build an outfit for its simplicity and 'clean' style.

Lookbook - Simply Vera Vera Wang Hi Lo Hem Dress
I am the first to admit that hi-low hem trend is having a 'blogger fatigue' moment this year. They are omnipresent, almost every blogger has a hi-low hem dress on their blog, and the overused style kinda took away their charm for me. But when on a sunny Spring day I reached for this Simply Vera Vera Wang dress (that I got last Spring from Kohl's) I realized, clichéd or not, the hi low hem still looks pretty and feminine and moves with a sinuous grace that allows its crime of being too common go unpunished!
I always wanted to pose like this! ( I call it 'lounging in a limo' pose!)

Lookbook: How To Wear Print On Print
Today I am little bit out of my comfort zone. The riotous print-on-print is usually not my style, but I feel when we push our style envelope we might surprise ourselves! This print on print outfit is fun and youthful and surprisingly, the bold prints don't clash as much as they flow harmoniously. The key is to keep the prints that do not overwhelm each other yet stand out individually.
This pair of slouchy pants have a fun Aztec print, pockets and the ruched front and I love the bohemian, casual vibe of them. (See HERE to see another way to style these pants) The shirt was tailored for me by the neighborhood tailoring boutique when I visited India recently. I loved this print as soon as I laid my eyes on it and asked them to make a shirt out of it for me! How fancy to get a shirt made out JUST FOR YOU! I miss the tailors of India:-)
Pants - Necessary Clothing
There is no rules to wear print on print - just keep the flow of the print even. You can keep the accessories neutral or take it up another notch by accessorizing a screaming statement piece of bag or necklace with it. Choice is yours, it is your style after all!
