Lookbook:Back To Basics With J.Crew Broken In Boyfriend Jeans

Blue jeans and a white top is one of the easiest and fail-proof outfit for Spring/Summer. It is classic for a reason! I love the simplicity of blue jeans with white shirt and the understated sophistication of this evergreen look. My blue jeans today is a boyfriend jeans from J.Crew. The 'Broken -in boyfriend Jeans' from J.Crew is one of the most popular denim style from J.Crew. I usually wear size 28 in JCrew jeans (specially the tooth pick and matchstick fit) but for this broken in boyfriend jeans I had to size down to 27. Even this is loose for me on the butt (perils of having a flat butt!), and thighs! But they are not too loose to look frumpy or wrong sized. I would still recommend this jeans if you are looking for a 'classic' BF jeans and want room around your thighs! Although, I am waiting to try out this slim version of broken in boyfriend jeans as it promises to be comfortable as a boyfriend jeans but have a slimmer fit.

Happy New Year - Welcome 2015!

It is the first day of 2015 and I am excited to see what this new year has in store for me. 2014 was a fun year in terms of blogging, and I am looking forward to engage with all of you via my blog in 2015, and learn and grow as a blogger and as a person! I got this skirt made with taffeta silk fabric in India. I love that I could get it made for my height and in the choice of my fabric and color! I found out some great tailors in New York City too that do custom pattern making and sewing and I am looking forward to try them to make custom dresses/skirts etc. FYI, you can find custom tailoring places in any city these days, usually the dry-cleaning places are best resources to find out!

Totally in love with this book clutch from Kate Spade. It is big enough to hold the essentials for a date/night out/dinner (credit cards, id and slim compact and lipgloss etc) and looks so gorgeous and unique! 'Age of Innocence' is one of my favorite novels (and movie too) so I am really happy I can carry it as an accessory! Lookbook : Polka Dot Coat, Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' & Kate Spade 'Pippa'

Cheerful polka dots make any day happier and brighter! I love this Target coat (now on major sale!) because it is just so adorable yet has a ladylike sophistication. I styled it with a DIY bow from a satin sash (this oversized bow is a great alternative) and my favorite pair of OTK boots - Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' boots.

During the Black Friday sale, I scored this Kate Spade 'Catherine Street Pippa' bag for extra 30% sale and I love its smokey grey color and the perfect size. It is easy to carry but is very roomy for all my essential for a day out, and a book for Mili too:-) I removed the strap today, but it looks great as a crossbody as well.
