Lookbook: Plaid and Houndstooth

Black and white never gets boring. Although I love wearing color, there is an elegant statement in a black and white outfit that always work for any season/body type/occasion. Today I am wearing my favorite Zara dress with my current favorite OTK boots by Stuart Weitzman. Be warned, I am going to wear them a LOT this year:-)

Lookbook : Staying Warm With Lands' End Wool Coat

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I had the merriest and I am now looking forward to the new year! We celebrated our third Christmas in New York and I have to admit, there is no place like New York City during the Holidays. Even with the crowd and chaos, you fall in love with the City's amazing energy and openness. We had fun at the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Hall, became the part of crowd at Rockefeller Plaza to see the tree lights, rode the horse drawn carriage at Central park and soaked up all the festive cheer and joys of the season! 

Coming back to the outfit, I got this coat from Lands' End in wine grape color (I am wearing size 4, Tall) last month and I have been wearing it a lot! I wore t over a dress at Mili's Holiday recital, and with jeans and leggings during our Holiday outings in the City. This fits so well and the gorgeous color gets me compliments every time I wear it. It is made with softest boiled wool and feels really plush. I wore it with a sweater and it was pretty warm for 40 degree weather.The great news- it is on sale now!

Lookbook : JCrew Majesty Pea Coat & DIY Distressed Jeans

 Thanks to a youtube video, I got my old jeans (sent in the back of my closet for some reason) out again and tried my hands on DIY denim distressing. I think it turned out pretty good! I am ready to try the DIY distressing on my abandoned skinny jeans!

 This Majesty Pea Coat from JCrew is sold out in yellow but other colors are still available (on 40% extra sale!) I love the bright color and the style of it. The grey woven scarf is a perfect match for a bold color and it feels pretty warm too!

Lookbook : Polka Dot Coat, Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' & Kate Spade 'Pippa'

Cheerful polka dots make any day happier and brighter! I love this Target coat (now on major sale!) because it is just so adorable yet has a ladylike sophistication. I styled it with a DIY bow from a satin sash (this oversized bow is a great alternative) and my favorite pair of OTK boots - Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' boots.

During the Black Friday sale, I scored this Kate Spade 'Catherine Street Pippa' bag for extra 30% sale and I love its smokey grey color and the perfect size. It is easy to carry but is very roomy for all my essential for a day out, and a book for Mili too:-) I removed the strap today, but it looks great as a crossbody as well.
