Black and white never gets boring. Although I love wearing color, there is an elegant statement in a black and white outfit that always work for any season/body type/occasion. Today I am wearing my favorite Zara dress with my current favorite OTK boots by Stuart Weitzman. Be warned, I am going to wear them a LOT this year:-)

Cheerful polka dots make any day happier and brighter! I love this Target coat (now on major sale!) because it is just so adorable yet has a ladylike sophistication. I styled it with a DIY bow from a satin sash (this oversized bow is a great alternative) and my favorite pair of OTK boots - Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' boots.

During the Black Friday sale, I scored this Kate Spade 'Catherine Street Pippa' bag for extra 30% sale and I love its smokey grey color and the perfect size. It is easy to carry but is very roomy for all my essential for a day out, and a book for Mili too:-) I removed the strap today, but it looks great as a crossbody as well.

Anothet #TallGirlsProblems I face is that there are very few over the knee boots that are actually over the knee for me! Except these ahhhhhmazing Stuart Weitzman Highland boots. They are so pretty and look great with jeans/leggings and dresses and can be dressed up or down.

Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' Boots Review & Lessons In Fall Layering

Stuart Weitzman Highalnd boots were on my lust-list for over an year and finally I took the plunge! And let me tell you, they are so worth it! The instant iconic status they got since their debut is well deserved. I love the fit, look and of course the buttery texture of the suede. If you are on the fence about getting them, go ahead and indulge. They fit true to size (they are on the skinnier side on the calves, so if you wear wide shaft boots, you might find them to be a bit tight, They are stretchy though) I am 5'8" and they come well over the knees for me, exactly the look I was going for (not the thigh high). I love them and can't wait to style them with dresses this winter!

I am a big fan of layering but I don't like to add bulk with thick pieces (sometimes that is inevitable though, learned it hard way when I lived in Chicago!). Instead, I like to keep warm with layering shirts and sweaters under a jacket. I think a chic, stylish layering look starts with a crisp button front shirt. I have found the 'best-for-fall-layering' button down shirt that is fitted and lightweight to avoid bulk and long enough for me.
