Quick 10 Minutes Makeup Tutorial For Healthy Skin & Polished Look #AllDayLook

 I have had problem skin as long as I can remember. I love makeup and love trying out different products, but my oily and break out prone skin means that I have to be very careful in my skin care and make up routine. Neutrogena is one of my favorite brands for everyday skin care - from cleansing to moisturizing to acne treatments to cosmetics. Their makeup is specially made to achieve clear skin. It contains salicylic acid and antioxidants that keep my skin healthy while providing great coverage for a non-cakey, natural look. The brand ambassador of Neutrogena and the star of hit TV show Nashville Hayden Panettiere has the perfect skin and she shares her beauty tips in a series of videos how she uses Neutrogena cosmetics for her day look -whether it is a night out, or on the sets or on her day off. I love her day off look as it is natural yet makes her look polished and put together.

Hayden's 'day-off' look is perfect to start a day with light natural make up. For me, I usually keep my make up natural and I can take it from natural to glam by putting on some blush and my favorite red lipstick!

I always start my makeup with a primer. A primer evens out the skin and helps your foundation go smoothly. It also helps my make up last longer without settling in my pores. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer contains Natural Soy, a tone correcting ingredient, and helps to even the look of skin. I use it with my flat brush or impeccable clean fingers. 

After primer comes the foundation. I am using Neutrogena Healthy Skin liquid makeup (I got mine from Target) in warm beige 90. BTW, Make sure to save 10% of Neutrogena cosmetics in Target - the offer ends on August 16.

I start by dotting the liquid make up all over my face and gently sweep it across my face with a foundation brush or clean fingers.

Next, I used Neutrogena Skin Clearing mineral powder to set the foundation. I love the big buffing brush for my pressed powders for a smooth finish.

Make up tip: Swirl the buffing brush first clockwise, then anti clock wise for a perfect airbrush finish. Make sure to blend in at your jawline and neck for a seamlessly blended look.

Next comes the eye makeup. I used an Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner and smudge it to on my lashline for a natural look. You can easily go from natural to smokey eyes with the smudge tip.

After applying eyeliner on the upper lashline, I apply a brown matte eyeshadow to my lower lashline. The lighter shade helps my eyes open up and look bigger.

A mascara is my proverbial 'if-you-get-stuck-on-an-island-with-only-one-beauty-item' product! LOL! Neutrogena Healthy Volume mascara has olive oil to keep the lashes conditioned and its clump free silky formula builds up volume by 400%! 

Make up tip: I use my index finger wrapped up in a face tissue to bend the lashes upward AFTER I apply mascara - the effect is like using an eyelash curler and the curl/bend in the lashes last whole day!

Neutrogena Lip Color Stick in Berry helps me finish off my all day look. This lipstick is semi matte and very moisturizing. I love the 'Berry' shade.  

..and voilà I am done! Ready for my day - wherever it takes me!

My New Intel Tablet With Windows 8.1 #TabletCrew

Recently I received an Intel Tablet and got a chance to see how it fits in my life. I am a long time Windows user. As a mom, blogger and an avid media consumer, this tablet gives me the freedom to get to the content I want, whenever I want, wherever I want it. I have been using it for almost a month and this mini tablet is my extended arm now! Let me share some of my observations -

First of all - it is a compact tablet with 8” HD screen - that means it can fit in my handbags for easy portability! On the road it is a life saver when I have to keep Mili engaged in the back seat with some books or games. I can sync it with my PC and use my existing Microsoft account to log in. It has a comfortable keyboard that lets me type easily! It has a crystal-clear touch screen, can work as a tablet and as a PC which is a plus because it gives me more flexibility as to how I want to view the information. It has a 5 megapixel front and rear camera (side note: you can download the cool PicsArt app which is a free photo editor and collage maker - it is like Instagram and photo editor all in one app!) With a powerful Intel processor, this tablet lets me browse really fast. Multitasking is easier, as I can switch between apps easily and very quickly. 

Speaking of apps, I love some of the kids apps I can use not only to keep Mili occupied during her Summer vacation, but also to help her learn while playing. The PBS Kids app is one of our favorites - Mili loves Wild Kratts videos! So it goes without saying that PBS kids was our first downloaded app!:-)

Another apps I love for kids is the National Geographic Weird But True app that tells so many amazing facts in a very compact, kid friendly manner! (Did you know that girls have more taste buds than boys? Or that the Empire State Building was built with more than 10 million bricks? I didn't know these facts before this app!)

The Scribd app is a great tool for any book lover. For $8.99 a month you can get all the bestsellers right on your tablet!

As for me, I can read, tweet, pin, chat, listen to music, skype and post content on my blog - right from my tablet.
For fashion fix, there are apps from Vogue and Allure magazines and there are many cool apps for outfit ideas!

Pretty In Plaid: Wear it Now, Wear it Later #SearsStyleFind

For me the best kind of shopping is where I find things I can wear immediately, and with some add-ons, I can wear them after the current season. My closet space also gets utilized better when I can wear and re-wear my favorite pieces. When I spied this classic plaid blouse at Sears, I knew I had found a wardrobe workhorse. It is made with lightweight chiffon so it is great to wear during Spring/Summer with shorts/skirts and plaid being a Fall staple print, I knew I can wear it all through Fall and Winter too.
