I love delicious oranges, juicy pineapples and tangy lemons in the summer time! No I am not talking about fresh fruits (although I do love them too!), I am talking about the fruit prints that have taken the front and center of summer prints lately! This J.Crew Factory orange print shirt was my companion for my recent trip to the New York Botanical Gardens. 

The mid morning diffused sunlight, beautiful flowers, succulent plants and a stretch of greenery made up a perfect summer day full of quality family time.

Lookbook : Retro With A Modern Twist

 There is something about a full skirted midi dress! I am not into vintage style that much, but the 50s housewife style full, voluminous skirts with conservative hemlines (they are making a huge comeback, BTW) steal my heart instantly. I love this eShakti dress ( I got it customized to add more length to the skirt) for the subtle drama of it - it wants your attention yet pretends to be demure, like a pretty girl who knows she is pretty, but doesn't want to admit it loudly, just waits smilingly for the public to acknowledge that! ;-)

Lookbook : Summer Blues

 Schools are closed, breakfasts are leisurely, dinners are late, splashes in the pools are to the hearts' content, and chilled watermelons are default desserts - summer is in full swing in my household. For my summer style, a maxi dress is my staple. This ikat print one is an old favorite, a real wardrobe workhorse for me.
