Lookbook: Coral & Houndstooth (And INKKAS shoes giveaway winner)

 With the temperatures dipping below freezing, It is getting harder to take outfit pictures these days! This outfit was actually clicked on the weekend when we had (somewhat) better weather. The Zara lookalike
(remember Spring 2013?) coat is from 6ks.com, the fit is nice but it is surely not made for colder climes! It is linen blend kind of fabric, that you might use during early Spring.
A word of caution: I think there are a lot of Asia based online retailers who either sell the pieces 'rejected' by their client brands or they are selling the replica designs, often times made shabbily. I am not sure how consistent they are with the quality and how trustworthy they are with the transaction information. With 6ks.com, my experience has been mixed - out of 3 jackets, one was good quality (the one I am wearing), one was OK and the third was actually not good. So I can't say go ahead and shop with them without reservations.

Lookbook : Plaid Pea Coat, Hunter Boots & Accents Of Red

Today's outfit features the amazing deals I scored during the Holiday sale. I love the red wellies and deliciously red Hunter boots were 30% off on Piperlime, needless to say, I scooped them right up! If you love them, they are 20% off TODAY ONLY with coupon code 'MODERN'. I am true size 8, and these fit true to size (contrary to some reviews that they run large) and with a pair of woolen/thermal socks they make  good alternative for snow boots if you plan to be in snow for a short period of time. The look and feel is really nice as you would expect from Hunter boots. My heart is set on these ones in cheery yellow too - great pair to brighten up any dreary rainy day.

Another Holiday deal I scored was this pea coat from Old Navy. Feels and looks much better in person than in pictures and colors look great. I am a size small in Old Navy clothes and this coat fits me well in size small, with enough room for a sweater underneath to layer up.

I have been knitting cowls and infinity scarves like crazy lately! My mom is a great knitter and I learned the basic technique from her when I was young. But never picked up knitting to finish up a project until last year. I love making scarves and hats as they are small projects and I can custom make them in any color and size I want.
