#MyKindOfHoliday: Target Black Friday Deals, Discounts and Shopping Tips

I know your shopping list is ready, your alarms are set and you can't wait to get the coveted gifts off your  shopping list. Actually shoppers are not the only ones who are ready for Black Friday - retailers are too! Every year, one of my favorite Black Friday shopping destinations Target brings amazing sales, doorbuster deals, and deep discounts to its shoppers. This year they have really outdone themselves! Target has great deals on TVs, electronics,  toys and fashion merchandise, (not only for Black Friday for pre-black friday as well) for example, the Element 40 inch plasma TV is just $279! There is a $100 giftcard with purchase of select iPads and free shipping on all toys! There are exclusive offers for target red Card members - you can get the black Friday deals 2 days early, plus 5% off of everything and free shipping!  If you plan to shop for Black Friady in Target stores - here are my two cents of advice! 1- Early birds get the worms - in this case, best deals! Be in the stores early to grab doorbuster deals. 2 - A cup of coffee /tea will be handy before you start the deal scoring:-) 3 - Familiarize yourself with your store. Target has a very helpful doorbuster map of all of their stores so you know where to go first! Just enter your Zipcode and it will give you a clear and easy map for you to prioritize your shopping! 4 - Last but not least, take advantage of Target Cartwheel app! It is like a coupon revolution! You no longer need to spend time clipping coupons and chasing deals. Use Cartwheel to score deals and coupons on things you usually shop at Target save money! Cartwheel works ON TOP OF regular coupons and red cart discounts! Isn't that amazing!!

Celebrate The Season With Target #MyKindOfHoliday

I have to say, this time of the year is my favorite part of the whole year! The fall colors, festivals, the magical time of Holiday Season! And in a country as multicultural as USA, the festivities of Holiday Season are beyond exciting. Every year (usually in in October) we celebrate Diwali - the Indian festival of light signifying the win of goodness over evil. For over a decade, since we moved to US, we have also been celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a young family, we are still in the process of making our own traditions and rituals for the Holidays. Mili loves to decorate the tree and write the letter to Santa! I think a child's innocent belief is the most treasured part of any parent's life that makes everything more enriching. The Polar express ride in Hope, Pennsylvania is also becoming our newest Christmas tradition! If you have not been there with your family, you should try this year. The train ride complete with Christmas songs, hot chocolate and Santa's visit to your seat is just magical! You can tell him if you have been good, and what you'd like this year!:)

We are planning to drive to Virginia to be with our friends to celebrate Thanksgiving (or as we call it Friendsgiving). I am looking forward to lots of good food, great conversation and a great deal of laughter!

I believe every festival signifies the importance of faith, love, peace and the value of family. A chance to reconnect, rejoice, cherish and celebrate with those we love. Fall Dressing: Houndstooth And Mixed Matrials

One of my favorite pattern for Fall/Winter is houndstooth. The classic pattern is usually used in wool or twill material and never goes out of style. I saw these silky, cuffed ankle pants in houndstooth print (not woven) at Target and thought that they were a nice modern twist on the classic pattern. These are an easy pair to dress up or dress down. I decided to dress these pants up with heels yet keep the things casual with mixed material Zara top in knit sleeves and perforated faux-leather front.

Be Yourself Together #TargetWedding

Today I am sharing something really personal on the blog. My relationship with my husband! (yes, the guy I  love from the photo credit!) We have been married for 10 years - the best years of my life! These 10 years sometimes feel like we have known each other for ages and sometimes it feels like we met just yesterday! They say opposites attract. It must be true, because I feel like in certain habits and preferences, I am totally opposite of my husband. He is a coffee person and I am a tea lover! He makes lists (for everything!) and I am 'go-with-the-flow'. He is super organized  and I am kinda scatterbrained sometimes!  But we don't have clashes, we don't have fights and we won't change a thing about each other! Because we know these quirky difference make our relationship fun. These characteristics and personality differences make us unique person, the person we fell in love to begin with . So instead of resenting our differences, we find a common ground and work together to make it all tick! I firmly believe that when two people who are different in personalities (but still want same things in life) fall in love, beautiful things happen:-) 

Speaking of yin and yang and opposites working together - when I heard about Target wedding season campaign of 'Be Yourself Together' - I immediately thought, what a cool idea! I mean we all know friends and family members who are getting married to people who seem different than them. To celebrate the personality differences and differences in everyday tastes and choices, Target has a great wedding gift guide.
