I am HUGE fan of red lipsticks. I think women with every skin tone and complexion can rock the bold red lips. I wear red lipstick all through the year and can not get enough of red lipsticks. I am always on a hunt for the perfect Red and so when I got a chance to try out the Bite Beauty's new line of lipsticks called The Amuse Bouche, I immediately took the opportunity. I received three shades - 'Gazpacho', 'Pepper' and 'Beetroot'.

So here is my verdict-

Packaging: The lipsticks come in very sleek matte tubes that are not very conspicuous, but still look unique. Overall nice packaging, nothing special to write home about.

Smell : OMG! That was the first reaction when I opened the tube! These lipsticks smell HEAVENLY! They have fresh pressed citrus smell and the product description says these are made with 12 edible oils and fresh pressed fruits. I five it 5 stars for the way they smell!

Color: These are high pigmented lipsticks, As you can see in the swatch above, the shade is pretty saturated and evenly pigmented. I personally love the non-sheer look of dark lispticks so for me it works out really well. 

Texture: These are some really creamy lipsticks. I really love the way they glide on the lips and go on evenly and without smudge on the lip line. VERY soft and supple texture and feel very light on the lips. Not sticky at all, even though they have a very light sheen in them! 5 stars again!

Longevity of wear: These lipsticks stay put for a long long time. I usually put one coat of my lipsticks and press a tissue paper between my lips for few seconds and then apply second coat. I used same technique to apply Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks and they stayed on for a LONG time. Even after eating, drinking, and almost 7 hour wear on the weekend, when I was ready to my make up off, I could see that lipstick was still there. The shade became little lighter, but it was pretty even and smooth. I give them high points for all day wear!

Price: These are available on Sephora for $26. So I'd say they are little bit pricier than your every day drugstore lipstick brands but after using them almost 2 weeks I can say they are TOTALLY worth the price!

Overall Verdict - Two thumbs up and 5 stars! Totally recommend these lipsticks. They come in 34 shades and the three I have used so far are making me want to stock up on more colors!

Lindi Skin Face Wash

A gentle, non-drying body wash can be used in place of soap. It actually moisturizes as it cleans. I have been using oral as well topical treatment for my acne and I found that this facewash helps reduce dryness and redness I sometimes get due to acne medicines. I love the soothing lavender scent of it. BTW, the price for the 4 oz/120ml bottle  is $22, but just a little product goes a long way.

Lindi Skin Face Serum

A smooth, protective moisturizer that protects and hydrates the skin. This lush serum is rich with olive oil, soybean, avocado oil and vitamin E. It could feel a little pricy (2oz bottle is for $38), but still worth it if  looking for extra level of moisturization in their skincare regimen.

Lindi Skin Lip Balm

I am a big sucker for cute lip balm packaging. Lindi lip balm comes in a vintage looking little jar with lid. It is a creamy balm with beeswax, petrolatum,vitamin E and helps smooth chapped and dry lips. The travel size jar (.25 oz sells for $10) is perfect to slip into my purse so I can hydrate my lips on the go! 

 Lindi Skin Eye Hydrator

This rich eye cream soothes the dryness around the eyes and reduces the appearance of puffiness and dark circles. This gel is rich in astaxanthin, vitamin E, C, A, and comes in a very pretty tub priced $30. I love that it is non greasy and absorbs immediately.

Summer is the time to glow from within! Go light, feel light and just bask in the sun warmed glory of lazy days and starry nights. Walgreens is my one of my top choices for all my summer beauty needs. For my every day summer look, I start by taking extra care of my skin. I have problem skin and I keep looking for gentle yet deep cleansers for my oily skin. I have been using Cetaphil and have been satisfied with it. But recently I found out Boots Expert anti-blemish cleansing foam and I realized what I was missing! The super helpful guy at the Boots counter at Walgreens suggested that I try it to clean my face and control oil without stripping the skin dry. I am happy to report that this cleanser exceeded all my expectations! It is light foam that cleans the face leaving my skin even toned and smoother!

Twice a week, I am using No 7 skin purifying mask that heats up when you put on your face. The heating action unclogs pores and cleans deeply to minimize pores and improves the tone of my complexion.

Another summer must have product for me is Sally Hansen airbrushed legs makeup. This product is great to give your legs that shimmery, sunkissed look without looking cakey and orangish! I put it on after putting the Studio 35 body lotion and leave it to dry. It does not transfer on clothes and comes off clean with soap and water!

For a natural look that still gives me full coverage, I love Blak Opal foundation stick. It is specially formulated for darker skin tones and I love the nifty little stick because it is easy to apply without any mess! It has SPF 15 too! I set up the foundation with Black Opal finishing powder and literally in just two steps my face is done! Just a swipe of my favorite lipstick and a coat of mascara and I am ready to head out to enjoy a summer day!

#BeautyInspiration: Get 'Guess Girl' Priyanka Chopra's Glamorous & Playful Look {Video Tutorial)

As someone who has always struggled with skin problems, pimples and the scars those pimples leave behind, I have been relying on makeup to make my skin look smooth and even toned. I also have oily skin that presents big challenge for my makeup to stay fresh all day. I also keep an eye out for foundation tips to get good coverage. For us 'T-Zone' girls, matte finish makeup is our best friend. So when I got a chance via #collectivebias to try this new (for me) product - Rimmel Stay Matte mousse foundation, I was more than excited to give it a try. What attracted me right away was the description that it has feather light, oil free formula! I need my foundation to give me good coverage, but not feel heavy, cakey or oily. This is a mousse texture that goes on smoothly for a powder finish. You can see how it looks on my skin in the pictures below and in the video tutorial. I used Rimmel fix & perfect primer with the foundation. All I can say is this one of the best drugstore foundation that you can lay your hands on. It has medium to heavy coverage, easy to put on and can be a good base to try on different make up looks.  The only con I can think of is that if you have super dry skin, you might feel your face getting dry after the application. I found my color, the darkest they have (sand), but if you are darker than me, you may need to mix it with a darker BB cream to get the best match.

I also tried Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara and I have been using it a lot lately. If you follow my blog, you must have noticed that I am always on the lookout for best cheap mascara, as I use this product a lot on a daily basis. Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara has a very curvy brush that helps thicken the lashes and fans them out for a really stunning look. 

I got both my foundation and mascara at Walmart. You will love the prices there!

Now comes the fun part! I used Rimmel Stay Matte mousse foundation to create Bollywood actress and Guess girl Priyanka Chopra's look. I loved her matte finish face and the playful, fuchsia lips.Below is my step-by-step tutorial to get Priyanka's matte make up look. There is a video too for more details.

The picture below was taken near the window with sunlight on my face, without flash. I can safely say Rimmel Stay Matte mousse foundation did all that it promised on the label. Lightweight feel, great coverage and natural looking matte finish! Two thumbs up!
