Wardrobe Must Have - Pashmina Shawl (Read My Review Of Retailer 'Pashmina International')

In my opinion, a Pashmina shawl is a must-have for any wardrobe not only in winter, but for spring/Summer too - specially if you live in a place where Spring/Summer evenings get cooler (Believe me - I have lived in Chicago!) Soft, warm, luxurious, elegant, versatile and beautiful are the words I think when I think of Pashmina. And all these words do justice to this Sunshine Yellow Pashmina shawl I was sent for review by UK retailer Pashmina International. They are a family owned business that provide high quality real Pashmina and Cashmere shawls. Pashmina literally means wool in Persian but these days any shawl/scarf is referred to as Pasmina, which is really misleading! You can tell the difference between a real Pashmina shawl and a mass-produced viscose shawl (oftentimes sold as Pashmina) just by a touch. Real Pashmina oozes softness and warmth and a vibrancy no acrylic fabric can copy. I was really pleased with the quality, look and feel of this shawl. Being from India, I know first hand what a real luxurious Pashmina feels like! We make it in Kashmir and our neighbor Nepal produces best Pashmina in the world!

You really need an elegant Pashmina shawl on occasions where you don't want to cover up your pretty dress or shirt with a jacket or cardigan, but want to stay warm in style. June weddings, summer graduation ceremonies, dinner dates, theaters where one dresses up for a show - I can think of so many occasions we need a Pashmina shawl! And Pashmina International have the colors and varieties for every occasion and outfit!

The shawl I received from Pashmina International is a Nepal Pashmina, with a silk blend - it is lighter and softer than regular Pashmina - perfect for any occasion all year long where you need a light weight but warm shawl.

I was surprised to see the great prices and deals on Pashmina and Cashmere shawls on Pashmina International, and the best thing - they ship worldwide for free! They only sell pure, high quality Pashmina (judging by the quality of the shawl I received, I can vouch for their promise) - no acrylic or viscose shawl on their website! They support fight against breast cancer and will match your donations when you buy any Pink Pashmina from them - great product, great price and great cause - what's not to love!
I urge you to check out Pashmina International  for your next Pashmina purchase. I believe you will be as happy and satisfied with them as I have been! Here is to the style, elegance and luxury of Pashmina!

You can find this post on Monday Mingle too, where fashionistas hang out every week!

Cloudy With A Chance Of Floral Blazer

I was told April 21st was the first day of Spring and as a fashion blogger (and a human being too!), I was looking for some sunshine and blue skies, flowers and butterflies for a beautiful outfit post background! But I guess I was mislead by the International Committee of Tellers-of-First-Day-of-Spring! It has been (at least in my neck of the woods) chilly, misty, cloudy, cold and all in all not a bright week! But diligent as I am, I still took outfit pictures! Hoping that a floral blazer may brighten the cloudy day!

Style Trend Soptlight - Cap Toe Pumps

More information about the shoes in this picture here
Leave it to Coco Chanel to make a fashion trend timeless and modern at the same time! Just like quilted bag and tweed jacket, another Chanel style trend that has been here for decades and still makes a 'come back' - the cap toe shoes! Inspired be the men's spectator shoes, Mademoiselle Coco designed the beige sling back with black cap toe in 1957 and the trend has been fashionable ever since.
I am totally in love with the Giuseppe Zanotti cap toe pumps Jessica Alba wore at Lucky Magazine blogger conference (Lucky FABB) I mean look at her outfit - the shoes are the centerpiece!

I have been seeing a lot of styles in this trend, including color block cap toes and metallic cap toes. In a variety of textures from suede to snake skin to patent leather - cap toe shoes are everywhere!

Hunky athletes in hot suits! Bring 'em on! We'd wait in the front row!! Ermenegildo Zegna and Man's World India magazine decked up the the cricketers of Mumbai Indians for a photo shoot and they look as suave and gorgeous as the expensive suites they are wearing! Those of you unfamiliar of the sport - Cricket is to Indians what baseball, football, basketball (throw in there paintball too!) combined are to the Americans! For Indians, cricket is not just a sport, it's a religion, it's a passion, way of life, a reason to come together and forget the differences! The cricketers are India's Royalty (and they can sell magazines too!) Man's World magazine hits the newstatnds in India tomorrow - but you can take a sneek peek right here! Go ahead, stare!

Style Inspiration - Michelle Obama, Sheath Dress And Toned Arms

From Jackie O to Victoria Beckham, a fitted sheath has always been a wardrobe staple. But First Lady of The United States makes a sheath dress work like nobody else can. Even if you don't agree with her on political issues, you have to admire her initiatives and commitment to exercise! Her signature style of sleeveless sheaths inspired women all across America to get  Michelle Obama arms! Trainers devised special work out routines to get toned arms and strong shoulders and fitness blogs discussed in details what we need to do to get arms like the first Lady. Beauty and style aside, I want strong arms to lift heavy shopping bags my kid when she is too tired or just don't want to walk any more -and she does that almost every time we are in a subway station - something about the noise wants her to climb up in my arms!
I have always been proud of my arms (even when I was told my arms are little too long! Really!) and try to incorporate arm work out in my exercise schedule as much as possible. Bicep curls, triceps dips, push-ups modified push-ups (lets face it, we all have used knees during push-ups one time or another!) and Pilate planks are my favorite arm workouts! And when you want to wear a sleeveless dress, toned arms really come in handy!

I have earned the right to bare arms!
