As most of you know, I was traveling to India recently and I had to pack for the whole family for whole 3 weeks! For my packing, whether for a weekend or a month, I still apply few basic rules -
1. Pack outfits and accessories that can multitask. For example a knit jersey maxi can be worn as a dress or as a cover up if you are on a beach. A fedora hat can be worn with jeans or a dress and can protect from the sun while making you look fabulous.
2 . Pack basic colors and mix in some fun prints to repeat the pieces and still make your outfit look fresh.
3. Always think of check-in and carry-on packing! I make sure to keep one special outfit and one pair of sleeping clothes and my thin Carefree liners in my carry-on luggage in case my check-in luggage doesn't show up on time!
4 . Pack your silks or delicate fabric dresses in a plastic bag first to keep them from wrinkling. A fresh trash bag works as well as an expensive zippered garment bag!
