We all (whether we admit it or not) care about how we look and more importantly how we age. So when I had a chance to attend an event to hear a leading dermatologist and a scientist from a renowned skin care brand, I knew I had to go and get the facts straight from experts! Duane Reade had invited leading New York dermatologist Dr. Debra Jaliman and the Johnson & Johnson Research & Development Senior Director, Anna Prilutsky to talk to beauty and fashion influencers & bloggers and I got to know a lot about skin care, particularly skin around our eyes that ages quicker and requires special attention. 

 If you read any well researched article or magazine feature on skin care, they all say that retinol is the most important ingredient to get healthy skin that ages beautifully! Dr Jaliman (who has written a best selling book about skin care and has been practicing dermatology for more than two decades) agrees with the fact that all women should incorporate retinol in their skin care regimen. Duane Reade mobile app features a very innovative feature to help customers stay updated with their prescriptions. Customers can scan the label on their prescription bottle. They can pick up the medicine from their preferred store at the time of their convenience!

For someone like me, who occasionally forgets little things like taking my medicine on time, Duane Reade app makes it super easy to set reminders. It is not a generic alarm-like reminder, you can actually set what medicine you have to take and in what quantity you need to take it, so If you are more than one medicine or you need different medicines on different days you are not confused about them! 

 Another feature I absolutely love about this app is the bird eye view of the store map! We all have been through this - the confused look on our faces and zombie like walk among the isles whenever we go to a store that is not our usual go-to store! With the floor map feature, you can find out the specific area you are looking for and be in-and-out of the store quickly! After all time is money!

There is big trend these days to make tiny prints of your instagram photos. I was looking at some services that print your instagram photos, but you need to make an account specially for them, and then wait for then to send your prints to you! With Duane Reade mobile app, all you need to is log in to your app, upload any photo you want to print (From your iPhone camera roll, your facebook or your instagram) and order the desired size and amount (instagram prints come in square print!!) and set your preferred store for pick up! How easy is that!
