Adventures At The Fashion Week

Fashion Week is over and after finishing up all my articles and review on Examiner.com, here I am with the recap of the fun, fashionable and somewhat crazy week for you guys!! It was a great opportunity to see the collections, take pictures, meet so many fun people and some celebs too - Boy, Olivia Palermo is THIN!!! And Karlie Kloss is really that stunning in person too!! Vera Wang doesn't like to stay more than 2 seconds on the stage after the show, and Marc Jacobs hardly smiles when he takes a bow at the end of the show! This year, Diane von Furstenberg walked the whole U-shaped runway dancing, shaking hands and being just cool!! I will always remember the fun I had the New York Fashion Week in 2013!! Until the September when I bring you more Fashion Week adventure from Lincoln Center!! Here are some of my Fashion week pics, I hope you will enjoy!

Nemo No Match For Fashion Week - Snow Or Not, The Show Must Go On!

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 show was a joy a watch.  The luxury and richness of her style shone thru with lustrous fabrics, intricate embroidery and jewel establishments. I was flustered if I should continue clicking the pictures or soak up the opulence with my naked eyes! The whole atmosphere - the reflective darl runway, the marbled emerald green background and magnificent dresses - it was all worth wading the snow to go to Lincoln Center!

 
Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2013 was a tough, dark collection with sleek lines and with a definitive urban edge. I loved the use of leather in a feminine way!

Mara Hoffman Fall 2013 was a fun collection - the colors and print more in line with Spring than fall, but her vision of Gypsy mystic was well crafted and beautifully executed! I want the flowy maxi dresses from this collection for summer!!!

Rebecca Minkoff Fall'13, Project Runway Season 11, Nautica Men

 Heidi Klum brought the sexy back at the Project Runway season 11 NYFW show - literally,her jacket was kinda backless and oh so chic! The show was full of leather, lace, edgy details - lot of black dresses. I loved all the 6 collections - you can see the review and more photos at examiner.com where I am covering the fashion week in detail.

Modern, girly-meets-tomboy style collection by rebecca Minkoff, where she presented a lot of layered looks for this fall. Again, my detailed review and more pictures are examiner.com

My first ever runway show for men!! Nautica had some great fall looks for the dudes! But seriously, who is looking at the clothes!!;)

 The snowstorm is threatening the Fashion Week , lets see what tomorrow brings!! I am having more fun than allowed at NYFW, see you again with more fashion week news!

Tadashi Shoji Fall 2013, BCBG MAX AZRIA Fall 2013 at NYFW

The semi annual fashion celebration (and circus in a way!) started today in New York City and I was there to witness it all. Dark Wash Skinny Jeans And Big Brown Bag

You might remember my post about finding a great fit for jeans. Liverpool jeans 'Abby' skinny is my go-to jeans these days. Its comfortable and fits like a dream.  You gotta try a pair! It is available at Dillards, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and of course online. And keep watching this space for more ways of styling a dark wash denim.

We are having constant chill and light snow and even showers lately but luckily last week we caught a break to have a Spring-like day with 56 degrees! This jacket is an old purchase from LOFT. Great alternative for a trench coat for an overcast day when its not too chilly.  Can't wait for the warmer temperature. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Yep, the sweater is that cheeky!
